  36. I dont think your firmware upgrade will work.
  37. The V.34 code is build into a chip in your modem and not in a prom.
  38. If you take a better look inside your modem you will find a chip with
  39. RC288DPi/VFC  (=V.FCÖ modem chip)
  40.  
  41. If it sais RC288DPi it is a V.34 chip.

  43. Just for fun I took the V.34 prom an plugd it into my V.FC modem and
  44. do you know what ?....  It went crasy :-)
  45. It was ok again when I switch it back to original.
