- I dont think your firmware upgrade will work.
- The V.34 code is build into a chip in your modem and not in a prom.
- If you take a better look inside your modem you will find a chip with
- RC288DPi/VFC (=V.FCÖ modem chip)

- If it sais RC288DPi it is a V.34 chip.

- Just for fun I took the V.34 prom an plugd it into my V.FC modem and
- do you know what ?.... It went crasy :-)
- It was ok again when I switch it back to original.
